Hunger Groups Deliver 10,000+ Valentines to Governor

The "NJ Anti-Hunger Coalition facilitated a campaign for over two years to get state funding allocated for the purchase of emergency food. Last year, Governor Corzine showed his commitment to those in need by allocating $4 million to fight hunger in NJ (creating the State Food Purchasing Program).

"Now, we would like to thank the Governor for 'having a heart for the hungry' in NJ by hosting a press event at the State House Annex on Valentine's Day [postponed by snow and ice to February 16], and presenting Governor Corzine with Valentines from all over the state to thank him. Valentines will be presented to Governor Corzine at the event."
