Best wishes to Camden Neighborhood Renaissance in its raising of money through its Sweet Taste of the Arts festival, because we loved the artwork it showcased. Here LNR editor-host Ret Z. presents a selection of his favorite pieces, arranged in the order in which they were shot while recording LNR #305. RZ didn't pay attention to who won, so we hope the creators of the works the jury didn't pick will enjoy this recognition.

"Giraffes At Sunset"

"Halcyon Day", watercolor, Marlene Craig, $400

"Coral Canyon", mixed media, MaryLou Reeves, $200

"Then God himself stepped
Down and the sun was on his
On his right hand and the moon
On his left and the stars cluttered
About his head, and the earth was
Under his feet."

By Marteha St___ [That's all the ID we saw near this work.]

"Tapree", Tapree Jones (of the LEAP Academy)

"In for the Day", tempera resist, Sandra Jones, $1400
[For the background of this page we use the barrier net behind home plate at Campbell's Field, the home of the Camden Riversharks minor-league baseball team. Oddly enough, the ballpark makes an excellent venue for the annual festival.]
