Committed to Refugees

We get on the phone with Janet Hinshaw-Thomas of PRIME Ecumenical Commitment to Refugees. Janet was charged with immigrant trafficking as she delivered 12 Haitian asylum seekers to the border post at Lacolle, Quebec, Sep 28. The arrest has prompted criticism of what some call the misapplication of a Canadian law. The 65-year-old grandmother of four has been working with refugees in Pennsylvania since 1983, and though she can't talk a lot about the case (hence the story links below), we expect to hear great stories nonetheless.

Included: A late-breaking update on her Canada case.
