52nd Annual San Juan Bautista Parade

"Boricuaaaaaa!" We bring you sounds from the San Juan Bautista Parade, which marched on Sunday, June 28, 2009, through downtown Camden. It was attended by tens of thousands of beautiful people of many nationalities, all of whom got to be Puerto Rican for a day. Happening every year since 1957, this parade, I think, makes Camden's visibly finest day all year. We also recorded a sample of the free concert that happened after the Parade at nearby Wiggins Waterfront Park.

Note: This program first aired on July 15, 2009, but it was aborted due to a technical problem which remains an unsolved mystery. WTMR graciously credited us, so we were able to attempt another playing on July 29, which did go well.
